What score do I need to stand a good chance at Penn? What should I be aiming for?

30 at the veryveryvery least, I would say. Unless you are recruited for athletics or something, I mean.

ACT Composite 31-34 thats the middle 50%. Should be obvious now.

I sent both my SAT scores and my ACT score. Do they look at both, the better one, or only one?

so should i even bother retaking a 33?

bummpppppp - retake a 33 or not?

If PredictedScore(lollipop)>35 Then
Retake
Else
Do Nothing
End Sub

You don't need to retake it. Especially not at this point assuming you are a senior.

Penn takes the best score. It is a waste of money sending your ACT score if the SAT and SATIIs are very good and the ACT is meh. Waste of money sending SAT scores if you ACT is 35+

andrw313 - im a junior

venkater - im not taking the SAT. its only ACT for me.

How likely do you think you will get higher than a 35?

nm if you knew the answer to that question then you wouldnt be here asking the first place lol

Wow, im really out of it today if I talked about SATs in your ACT thread

In practice tests i took, i always scored a 34/35. However, maybe those practice tests were much easier or something (although i did them from PR and the REAL act prep book).

i dont know. if a 33 is good enough, should i waste my tim retaking?

i'm doing a senior research project on ivy leagues and penn does prefer SAT over ACT so don't bother sending a mediocre ACT score... in my opinion it could hurt you

christina - how do you know penn prefers SAT? do you have any info about the preferences of the other six sxhools?
