ACT score

What act score (1-36) do I need to stand a good chance at Wellesley? What should I be aiming for?

<a href="http://www.wellesley.edu/admission/admission/statistics.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.wellesley.edu/admission/admission/statistics.html</a></p>

Based on this page, I would say 30. However, if you look at the SAT data, even having over 750 on the math gives you a 56% chance of getting in so don't treat that as gospel. Just get the best ACT score you are capable of getting.

I got rejected w/ a 34....It's YOU they're going to accept/reject, not your ACT score

terrarumOrbis - did you have SAT IIs? what was your GPA and ECs?

I'm not a standard acceptee/rejectee. I graduated high school in 2.5 years and had a lot of courses from cc/local university. I didn't get into Wellesley [WL] & I got rejected from some low ranking school, but I got into Colgate. It's not all about numbers. Colgate needed an extra "politics nut" last year, Wellesley didn't. Focus on developping your interests, not studying for the SAT.

I am working on those things but I just want to make sure my ACT is in a good range. I want to be in a place that no matter what, it couldnt have been my testing score that ruined my app.

TerrarumOrbis, how old are you ?

I turned 17 in the middle of September.

young college-rs, unite!

u r crazy
17?

props 2 that

jaberwocky66, how old were you enrolled? Do you absolutely adore Wellesley?

I'm 17 now, like you (turning 18 next year, though I'm a few months older than you). I love my classes here to death (amazing, amazing professors). I'm not entirely happy with living here, but that's because I'm a big city kind of girl and Wellesley's a calmer, smaller place. It's intensly academic, down-to-earth, and serious; but also incorporates lots of the fun things you associate with college--clubs, activities, and a lot of in-class fun (last week we had a guy come and rap the Canterbury Tales to my Chaucer class, and today my Romantic Poetry class is having a Byron Fest, complete with Greek food and movies). I'd say that as somebody who entered college young, it's an extremely supportive and comfortable environment. Are you thinking of transferring?

I'm thinking about it...I love my Colgate classes but a lot of my peers here aren't as excited about academics as I am....that being said, I'm holding my breath about my GPA...I decided to take 5 classes, which, in retrospect, probably was not too smart. I'm working hard to follow my own preachings about pursuing interests even at the expense of an application! (next semester's full of 300 level classes I might get Bs...or Cs...in..I hope Wellesely will understand!)

ah, so you're applying for transfer?

I'm considering it...What's the last day of classes in December? I think I'd like to tour again/interview again just to be safe...

Tuesday, December 12
