ACT scores and recommendations

I have a few questions that I was hoping someone could answer.

Does Brown combine the best sections scores for a super score?

and

For teacher recommendations, what happens if you send 3 reccomendations? I have given a sheet to 2 of my teachers, but I have another teacher that will probably write an amazing rec and I don’t want to have to tell a teacher that I’m using someone else’s rec, plus they might have already sent them. Does it matter which teachers you say are submitting forms 4a and 4b online, and will it be bad it I send 2 form 4a’s?

One more question, could someone post up the essay prompts from the online app, I haven't finished part 1 and I can't see them until I do.

Thanks

1) I don't think it'd be too terrible of a thing to send in supplemental recs, but make sure you don't have three people saying the same thing about you. Ideally, each teacher should be able to offer perspecitive on different parts of your personality.

2) There is a Personal Statement essay. On the online app I believe it has a 5000 character limit. I wrote 500 words because I used my common app essay. Then there is a short question on who interested you in Brown. Then there is another essay dealing with what you want to study and how Brown is a match for you bla bla bla. Basically, it is a Why Brown essay.

I hope I was accurate and helpful. Happy writing!

Thank You!

I don't want to make a new thread. Here's one more question:

For the activities essay, is it possible to write a small essay about your activities, and then include a list? Once I sort out the recommendations I can submit part one and I won't need to ask these sort of questions...

For the activities essay I actually just attached my resume. It was 2 pages with 2 columns on each page. I listed each activity and used stars to indicate the level of importance. I wrote a few lines explaining each item and wrote a paragraph about some important things.

I see. I really want to hit on my strong points which I see as Community Service and Cross Country running, which is basically my work ethic. I already wrote a Personal Statement for Common App about community service, so I want to write a bit of an essay talking about my work ethic. I also have a really good letter from my Coach that I should probably send, how would I go about that?

I believe there are specific instructions for sending in supplemental recs on the website. Not sure though. If not, I'd just have the letter sent to the admssions office. It should find your file somehow.
