ACT scores good, SAT bad

Hi, I had a question about how colleges look at a student who ACT and SAT. I received a signficantly better score on the ACT (33) than on the SAT (1770). will colleges look at both of them or just consider the better one?

Colleges will only look at the one you have submited to them. If you have not sent them to a college, I highly reccomend that you request your counsler not to submit your SAT scores on his or her recconmendation or your transcripts.

But if they require SAT II's, your SAT I score will be given on the same report as your II's.

uppin

will colleges look at the ACt instead of the SAT, since i did better on it?

you don't have to send the sat to most schools. I used the act and that was it.

Just send the ACT!!!!

By the way, why do you think there was such a big discrepancy? I've seen kids who were a couple of ACT points off, but that is a large difference.

SAT somewhat measures ability. ACT measures how fast you can read a freakin' chart.

i'm not sure, but i think it was because i didn't study for the SAT and plus I was sick that day.
the ACT, i actually took an online course for and studied. I also am not the best at math. The math makes up 1/3 of the test on the SAT. For the ACT plus writing, it makes up about 1/5. Even I'm not good at math and can figure out which one's better for me
