Yes, of course it has happened. That said, if you scored a 27, you’ll have to make up for that in a large way somewhere else in your application.
@WhartonPenn2017 I’m have a strong GPA and extra curriculars. Along with expressing my interest in researching Alzheimer’s while I attend the institution
Given that and that you’re an athlete (based on your other post), I’d say you have a shot, especially if the coach has any influence on admissions.
