ACT send scores

I just signed up for the ACT for the june date, and it said that I have to pick colleges to send it to, how am I supposed to know before getting the scores. What if I expect good scores so I send the scores to my reach but they end up being awful. Will the free six score reports carry over until whenever I want, or do I have to pick now based on my assumptions

If you’re a junior, there’s no point in sending your scores to colleges unless they require all scores. Just wait for the results to come in, and then send them then. The free score reports do not carry over, however.

Don’t worry. You may send that to some safety schools if you know your expecting score from practice. Also send to those schools that you plan to apply and requires all scores. Unlike SAT, you need to pay to send each test score. This way, it will save you money and would not hurt your chance at all. Anyway, it does not hurt to send the scores in most case as most school would only consider you best attempt, and some would even super score ACT.
