I know this question has been brought up, but I just wanted to say that Cornell (all schools) do take the best scores from each section on the ACT, and not just from one sitting. I called them up and they told me. FYI

Chyea! The only problem is that I only sent one sitting, I only self reported my other ones.

Okay, if this is true, then I got rejected with a 36 on the ACT (compared to 35 non-supered). Bogus...

no clue though, but I don't care I got GT into Cornell in Fall 08'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

does this apply to ACT w/o writing and ACT w/ writing? i want to superscore my ACT w/o writing's math with my ACT with writing's other sections. For cornell ED by the way. Thanks!!!

I was told they didn't do this so anybody have clarification????

I called and they said they do. But the old lady might have mixed ACT up with SAT, since there are so many students asking about SAT.

I called in and they said they don't superscore the ACT; only the SAT...hahhahh

I called and they said they did...Anyone going to an info session soon that can ask an admissions person directly? I really need to know as I don't want to send in both my ACT scores unless they are superscored.

Also . . . whether or not ACT w/o writing can be superscored with ACT w/ writing.

Thanks!

Wait do they? If they do that would have made my ACT much better since when I got a 35 on one of the sections I did badly on science so all of my single sitting ones were alright but if I combined my best ones it would have definitely been better. I didn't think that they did, but who knows...I guess it would explain a few things.

If the people answering the admissions calls are giving inconsistent answers, it would be best to e-mail an admissions officer directly.
