ACT Subscores importance?

Hi everyone, I’m a senior in high school applying to several fairly competitive schools (top choices are Wesleyan, Vassar, Carleton, and a few others of similar caliber). I’ve taken the ACT twice and gotten a 32 composite score both times, but the subscores varied slightly; my highest subscores in each section are: Eng 36, Reading 34, Math 30, Sci 31.
So if I tell colleges that my academic interests are mostly centered around English/Writing language, etc, (which they are) will they consider my scores for those sections with any more weight than math/science?

Colleges want to see that you will succeed there. I believe that your scores substantiate your self-reported strengths and interests. If a school has requirements for graduation, they may also want your scores to reflect a sufficient level of aptitude to succeed at those. In other words, if you need to complete math through a certain level and/or many majors require quantitative aptitude, a poor math score cannot be overlooked. Have you looked at the CDS for each score to see how your scores compare? That’s your best indication.
