Hi everyone,

-I am a senior.
-I just (September date) took the ACT for the first time, on very little notice and with no prep. I am not taking it again (I understand that tests are important but frankly I'm not a big fan of trying to game that system with test prep and taking the test a lot of times, etc. It's just not for me).
-I am happy with my composite score of 33, and am mostly applying to small liberal arts schools (Williams, Amherst, Tufts, Grinnell, Macalester come to mind as a representative selection).
-My English and Reading subscores are each 36 (10 on the essay); my science subscore is 33; my math subscore is 26. I'm not planning to be a math major or anything, and I know I should have done better, but the fact is that I didn't.

So my question is: how bad does that 26 look? Are the negatives associated with the 26 math subscore going to outweigh the relatively good composite score of 33? For no prep and short notice, I did a lot better overall than I'd expected, and was pretty happy when I got my score, but I'm now freaking myself out about how that 26 looks.

Please help! Insight is really appreciated.
