I received a composite 30 on my April ACT (actual average 30.25). On the Sept ACT I got a lower composite (29), but my science score went up one point from the April exam. I am applying to schools which superscore. My questions are, if I submit the Sept score as well as the April score, (1) would the actual average be considered 30.50 and (2) would this then be rounded up to a composite of 31? Also, would the drop in my composite score outweigh (as far as the Admissions Offices are concerned) the potential advantage of the slight increase in the superscore (if this is rounded up to 31)? Thanks to everybody for your thoughts.

any thoughts? Thanks!

In the first place, very few colleges superscore the ACT, so you should verify that fact for the college(s) that you are considering. I’m guessing the difference between a 30.25 and a 30.5 (rounded to 31) will not be noticed by adcoms, but if they do superscore the ACT, you might as well send both.
