My daughter has taken ACT twice. Second time, scores went down across the board except up one point in Science(26 to 27). The question is, the schools she is look at all super score, and of course application is due Jan 1 and college counselor on vacation. Looking for guidance as to if we should submit second round of scores, or just the first. First Composite was 30, second was a 28. The 30 is definitely on the high range of schools she is applying to. Any information would be appreciated.
does the one point in science make her composite a 31? (or at least a 30.5)? if so, yes. If not, no.
How do you calculate the composit score?
If you can send just one sitting score than submit the 30 ACT as the 1 pt bump in science won’t get you to a higher superscore composite anyways, correct?
Add all 4 sections highest score and divide by 4 to get the highest super score average. For example, Science 28, Math 28, Reading 31, English 31. 28+28+31+31 = 118 divide by 4 = 29.5 composite (30 ACT they round up).
OK, just recalculated(thanks for the help BTW), and no, did not change the composite. So I assume we just go with the first set of scores.
