I've never taken the act before. is it true that some colleges, such as mit, look at the act more than the sat? also, how hard is the act compared to the sat? is it too late to register for the june 10th one?

it is to late to register. you can do standby though. or take it in october.

what? MIT look at the ACT more than the SAT? Is this true? And, yeh, i have trouble with the science part too. It drag my score down to a 30.

well im guessing science oriented schools, or science realted majors will loike the act more because unlike the sat the act has a science section.

The overwhelming majority of colleges take either test and say they are indifferent. Places like MIT used to just want the SAT but then changed their policies. I see no reason why they would lie about acceptability.

There is a standard conversion chart for SAT/ACT scores, based on students who have taken both. So, in general, one test cannot be harder than the other. However, an individual may do better on one than the other. The SAT seems to have trickier questions, while the ACT raises more time constraints in answering. The only way you can know if you would do better on one or equally well is to take some practice tests.

Thanks, that is very helpful. Also, do you know where I can find the conversion chart? Thanks.

Use google..
