ACT versus SAT

which examination would the admissions committee prefer to see? I am from Massachusetts so I am assuming the SAT, but my SAT score is pretty weak (2030). My friend took the ACT and said it was incredibly easy compared to the SAT, so I'm definitely going to take the ACT at least once.

Also, what does this college look for in applicants? Sports, legacy, URM?

i would say the SAT even though it sux

colleges know that the New SAT is harder; i think they will show more leniency towards it

yeah, but they won't be lenient enough for my current score (sigh)...I guess I'll have to retake the 4 hour waste of my life another time to get my desired score...

Dartmouth accepts both the SAT and ACT. After looking at their website it seems quite a number of people submit the ACT as they are able to provide statistics on average scores.

If you take the ACT you must take the ACT with writing

and

Submit 2 SAT subject tests (no matter which test you take). Since there is no longer score choice on the SAT the school will still see your scores when you submit your SATII's
