When they make you sign the waiver that you sent all scores from certain tests do they mean all of one set or both? I took the SAT twice and the ACT once and scored much higher on the ACT. Can I just submit the ACT?

“In submitting their application for admission consideration, students will certify that they will send to Pomona reports of all test scores, whether ACT or SAT and SAT Subject tests or both.”

Have you tried asking the admissions office?

I think this wording - “or both” - suggests that if you took both SAT and ACT, you must submit all scores from both tests. (Or does “both” modify “SAT and SAT Subject tests”???) I and my D’s counselor read last year’s language - which may have been different - as saying that you are allowed to choose which test you’ll rely on, and that you must submit all scores from that test. If you want to rely on SAT subject tests to supplement an ACT score, you submit “both” types of SAT scores. But if you’re willing to go with ACT only, you can leave out the SAT tests.

What do others think? I think it’s a close call, and I actually think this language is new since last year.

I had the exact same situation! (much higher ACT)
I asked both my high school counselor and the pomona admissions office and they said that sending all scores from just one kind of test (even if you took both the SAT and ACT) is fine.
So, I just sent my scores from the ACT and not from the SAT.

A friend of mine emailed the admissions office and claims that we need to send in every test we’ve ever taken with ACT or SAT in the name -_-". If so, do you guys think some low SAT Subject tests (like 630 and 690) will look bad, even in the face of fairly good ACT scores (34)?

Also, do colleges have a way of even knowing which tests you took, besides self-report and which you decide to send in? Do they have access to your collegeboard account?
