<p>How do colleges look at the ACT compared to SAT, in terms of say converting scores from ACT to SAT scale.</p>

<p>Use the 34 if the SAT's on the any of the scales (1600 or 2400). There's a Wikipedia entry on the ACT. Search for it, and you'll find a conversion chart.</p>
<p>What's odd is that the admitted people who submit ACT scores have a lower score than their translated SAT scores. Dont' know why.</p>

<p>Writing isn't part of the composite. It's a separate score than the other four.</p>
<p>Yes, the score rounds up. This means you can get one 34, three 36s for a 36 on the ACT, or two 35s, two 36s.</p>
<p>thanks one more question, i'm almost sure that i'll do better on my ACT rather than SAT. the fact that the ACT gives an average grade helps me, as i'm weak in critical reading. I've gotten 34 + (got a 36 on one test )on every practice exam i've taken, but i'm sending my sat scores anyway. do colleges look at your best score? SAT: 690 cr, 780 m, 660 writing. Should I take the SAT one more time to try to boost my grade up?</p>
