ACT Vs SAT

Hello everyone,
Im a senior and I currently have a 34 on the ACT (first time) and a 1490 on the SAT (first time). I was wondering if i should retake my SAT to try to get it up to a 1550+. December will be my only chance, and i would prob send both my SAT and ACT scores. Im afraid a 34 isn’t good enough for an asian female. What should I do??

If I were you, I would send only the ACT and I would spend no more time on testing.

I agree with @gardenstategal

Both scores are 99th percentile. I would only retake if the scores are not above average for the schools you’re applying to.

Why bother retaking the SAT? You’re already done with your ACT score.

okay thank you!

In competitiveness, 34 on ACT was roughly equivalent to SAT 1480-1540… Given my classmates’ and my own experience, It’s not quite easy (and not that necessary in your case) to improve from 1490 to 1550+ in SAT just in one chance within 1 month’s preparation. So send ACT scores only!

@musicismylife Good for you–no matter your race, gender or your choice on how to spend your time!
