Since they dropped the act writing printing requirment, do you think they will put very little weight on it?

Yes. The ACT writing is being dropped from many schools because they find it to be a poor predictor of a student’s success at their institution. Particularly with the new essay, because many students have scored in the high 30s, and have received writing scores in the low 20s.
