Which book is the best for ACT practice and review over concepts?

Definitely the official prep book..

Kaplan's also good for reviewing math concepts =) Like for me, I totally forgot how to find the distance, slope, midpoint, etc. (the forumlas) so it was a good refresher.

Take allll the practice tests too to get your money's worth. and to practise your time management skills. You basically have to rush thru' the entire test

Do you think the official prep book is worth it, in terms of money and time? I mean I don't have to take it soon...I'm currently a sophomore.

Yes it's definitely worth it! Not only does it include tips and strategies for the test, but 3 full tests that model the ACT exam perfectly. And for the millionith time, sometimes they take exact questions from the book and put them on the real test. (With the answers switched, of course) :)

hehe, yeah, I'm a sophomore too ;-)

I think it's worth it 'cause it's the ONLY book with REAL past tests (the rest are just closely modeled). Explanations are also pretty detailed. And I like it 'cause it actually teaches you HOW to do a question (like the actual concept), and not just by elimination or "guestimation" like Princeton Review and (some of) Kaplan

Yes, and that's crucial considering the ACT's realitively nasty curve. :)

Thanks guys! I guess I'll see if I can go tomorrow! :-D
