So yea… I guess we will know tomorrow.
Good Luck

O__O
acted on? is this the first time we’ve heard of “this kind” of status? has anyone been accepted when they get this kind of status before?

I just changed to the “acted on” status, but I am pretty sure I have been accepted- there is a new “Events” tab that has RSVP for admitted students weekend, RSVP for walking tours, and under my “Admission” tab it has boxes for enrollment deposit and more RSVP-ing. Previous to this, my status was “being reviewed”. I am CLAS and live in CT, so I am thinking my packet is coming today.

@chelsea, can you reach the backdoor link?

@FURKANK, yes I was able to reach the backdoor enrollment link about a week ago. About a day after being able to access it, my status changed from “forwarded” to “being reviewed”. About a day after that, all the boxes appeared under the “admission” tab and yesterday the “events” tab appeared. I just RSVP-ed to one event, and under the page it says “Chelsea __, Congratulations on your admission to the University of Southern California!”. Pretty sure I would not be able to RSVP if I were not accepted. And as of today my status is “Acted on”.

My status also says “Acted on”. Last year ppl got in with that so you never know what can happen. I can’t wait to get the mail today!

i know there have been threads saying that the backdoor link is no longer reliable, but since it works for some people, I was wondering if it worked for others with this acted on status? I still can’t access the backdoors, but their decision is already made-- curious. lol

My guess is that if the backdoor link works, you’re in, but if it doesn’t work it does NOT mean you are rejected. USC may have caught wind of what was going on and discontinued it from working for people who are in the last wave. It does still work for me, but I believe that this is because I was in the wave that should have gotten packets Saturday–however, because I live in the Northeast, it’s probably coming today.

Hey i got this too and I’m sure they’re mixed but I am an INTL and have received no DHL so I already know mine is a rejection… good luck to everyone

just changed to the “acted upon” link BUT no new enrollment tabs as Chelseaa has on her portal. Oh well…

@Chelseaa…when did your status change to “acted upon”?
for those waiting for DHL notification…maybe the decision letters just got sent over to DHL for processing…it will take a day to process and send the email that a DHL is coming. There is always hope until the letter/package arrives.

@brdymom

I still don’t have those links and I was accepted so don’t worry. Use the third link its the only reliable one anyway!

Also have “acted on” status. gahhhhh, so they’ve mailed them… A couple months ago, April 1 was so far away… but it really sneaks up on you- it’s already March 29 =/… While I’m relieved to have my decision, I’m really sad/nervous because this “wave” has rejections in it for sure, one of them probably mine. This will be the only college decision I receive via mail without knowing ahead of time online, so anxiety levels are at maximum. I’m just going to “prepare for the worst, and hope for the best” (<- SO hard to do). Good luck to all.

A_Procrastinator, I have no idea what will be in your envelope, but I DO know that whatever it says: You are a Trojan. You, and so many others, have been here encouraging and supporting others - that really is what The Trojan Family is all about. One of my favorite things about you was WAY back - at least a month ago - you were gathering information to submit an appeal - which I thought was a contradiction for someone who calls himself “a procrastinator!” You seem to be quite the opposite.

In any case, all of you who hace been hanging around here these past weeks/months will always have a bit of Trojan in you - no matter what your letter says.

I’m watching and waiting along with you and sincerely hoping you ALL get the news you are hoping for.

GOOD LUCK!

not all int’l students get dhl emails even if they are accepted. i called usc and asked. it depends on the office and on who mails it

I have just logged and checked mine and it recently changed to acted on… I was accepted about 2 weeks ago. It means absolutely nothing.

@wowie, same for my son (accepted two weeks ago, just changed to “acted on”).

I would say it means the application has been acted on and a decision has been mailed.

i think that all of these status changes this weekend are probably just the admissions office FINALLY catching up with the online updates. im guessing that the people who just got acted upon (like myself) probably had a decision made on their application thursday or friday last week (if not earlier)and will hopefully get a letter in the mail today. my logic? from mon-fri when the admissions office is open people were probably trying really hard to make decisions… the weekend was probably just people working overtime to catch up with the paperwork, in a sense.

this is all speculation, but im just trying to find ANY kind of good news from this haha :/

My son (a strong candidate) is still “Your application has been forwarded for committee review.”

There have been no rejections yet right?? So why assume that “acted on” means rejection? I am thinking it could be the final wave of acceptances and spring admits. (just keeping it positive!). And I agree with CaliboundSB…could be Admissions just cleaning up.
