Stay safe everyone!
I hope nothing harmful happens and they deflate this situation peacefully.
According to the Fire Dept, 7 have been taken to hospitals.
If anyone is associated with OSU, they are telling people to avoid Watts Hall (not sure if that’s spelled correctly).
That’s sad.
Scary.
I got one of those alerts at D2’s grad school campus. It turned out that a person had shot someone off campus, then ran away and happened to be going in the direction of campus. He merely was trying to get out of the area, not go into campus shooting anyone. But D2 said they were all herded into the halls, then put back into classrooms after a little while and told to lock doors and stay away from windows. It was a little unnerving, but info. was communicated well.
I hope this ends very quickly.
Sickening.
Columbus news just said that the shooter is dead.
Two males removed in handcuffs. I hope their images aren’t plastered all over in case they’re just wanted for questioning.
I guess I should clarify that the news stated that “One suspect is dead.” Not sure if there is more than one suspect. Also an odd report of a professor injured in the leg by a machete.
There was also a vehicle attack. Not clear whether it was intentional or accidental but it appears some students were hit by a car as they were running out of the building.
Watching Channel 10 Columbus - they are reporting that the four victims taken to OSU Wexner Medical are being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Thankfully.
Students are being encouraged to run, hide, fight (per tweet from OSU).

Eyewitness is saying there were NO gun shots, rather they used a car to plow into people and jumped out and started stabbing people. Jeez.
I wonder if the gun shots (if there were any and it wasn’t the assailants) were the cops taking down the suspects.
Just wow…
I think you are correct @romanigypsyeyes The only gun shots fired today were the ones that took down the suspect. At least that’s what one student eyewitness said.
OMG. Watching this live now. So scary. My prayers go out to the people affected by this.
All my friends and their kids have checked in safe. This is terrifying for a parent, and for the kids too I’m sure.
“Shelter in place” is over, though I’m hearing the police aren’t happy that OSU ended it already, seems they may not be done searching for another shooter/stabber/whatever.
So there was no “shooter”? We will just have to wait and see what the facts are in this case. All kinds of mis-information flying around.
Seems like a car ran into kids who left a building after an alarm, and stabbed some. If the attacker didn’t have a gun I guess that’s a blessing.
