Activities in the Summer before start of Med school or just veg out?

<p>Hi All,</p>

<p>If you have already been accepted to start Med school Fall 2010, what are you planning to do in the preceding Summer? Volunteering activities, research, Summer experience abroad, or simply veg out? </p>

<p>Just trying to get a cross section of ideas.</p>

<p>I’m going to the World Cup in South Africa. Maybe some other traveling.</p>

<p>Congrats on your acceptance. I’d probably get a job and make some money, without working so hard that I kill myself. </p>

<p>Definitely get some rest out of that summer, lol.</p>

<p>My D will travel to England with her mom. And sleep as much as possible.</p>

<p>I vegged. And it was wonderful. If I’d had the money, I would’ve liked to travel, but staying at home to see my parents and friends was also great.</p>

<p>My kid wants to travel but I think she’ll have to work to pay for school.</p>

<p>I worked two jobs four days a week and then went on vacations/resorts the other three days with the money I was making.</p>

I think some vegging out is definitely in order. I just hope there’s some earning potential in the cards for DS’s Summer too. ;-)</p>
