<p>wldb: My parents are saying they want to start making payments to whichever university I choose as soon as possible. I’m not even sure if you can do this, but still, would the money be better spent towards school?</p>
<p>I’ve looked at a lot people talking about the program and the majority of them say that the programs no good for looking good on their university applications.
I’m doing it for experience. so if you’re more interested in school, I think it would be better for you to spend the money towards school</p>

<p>i did this program at berkeley last year, and it definitely gives you a great introduction into medical ethics/practices</p>
<p>some things that i did included:
suturing
pathway to a medical career (its pretty intensive and detailed)
listening to guest speakers (professors, researchers, current med students, doctors, nurses)
simulate many hospital scenarios (things like triage)
attend lectures at the local university/hospital
debates on many topics (things like stem cell research)
WATCH A LIVE SURGERY!!!
and many others</p>
<p>also you get alot of down time to explore the city, hang out with peers, and EAT. ;)</p>
