activities resume

Is there a limit on the number of pages you can turn in? i can't seem to condense mine and it's three. i was thinking about having one page double-sided to have two pages. But, i dont see that this makes a difference. my GC said that 2 pages was fine. any thoughts? anyone who had more than 2 pages and submitted them?

It's not an issue of what's allowed or not, but frankly no one wants to read that much stuff. Keep it under one page. Go at it with a metaphorical hack-saw if necessary. (I'd be glad to help you cut it if you'd like).

I did three pages according to my Acing the College App book in a table style format. (not a list!) It has about 6 activities per page, though, with explainations.

Can you make the explanations shorter? I'm not familiar with the format, but I can't imagine that every single activity you do requires that much explanation...my resume had around 25 items on it and I got it to one page in 10-point font.

the typical college resume is 2 pages (or 2 sides, whatever you want to call it), 12-pt times roman/arial/something normal, and single-spaced...buy a resume software if you want it really pretty, and include a cover letter (a VERY brief "dear so and so, I have attached my resume listing my activities and achievements from ___ to ____ to include with my application (college or job or whatever). I hope that you take into consideration these activities and achievements blah blah blah" just so they dont go "what is this for?"

oh, and lists are perfectly acceptable resume formats. the actual physical resume doesnt need to be pretty, but instead, its content should be "pretty"
