activity/brag sheets

Is it okay to have a 4 page activity sheet that has about 2-3 sentences describing each activity? I heard that 3 page is the maximum which is possible for me if I didn't include my awards. Should I leave a 4 page activity sheet or have a 3 page one with a separate resume? (that pretty much repeats everything except awards which is critical to my application)

wait i don’t fully understand what you are saying; reword that last sentence haha… and how many total activites did you include?

well I saw some activity sheets that don’t include awards. if I don’t include awards my sheet will be 3 pages. I have about 20 activities including clubs, sports, jobs, summer, volunteer, and hobbies without awards. I have about 8 award boxes (already condensed, for example I put minor awards under one box and then listed them)

You might make two files (or more): one that includes the descriptions and one that does not. For many activities, a description is not needed. When you organize it, think like a journalist and put the least important things last. Then when you need to send it out, you can cut off the end things if you think it is too long. Also, if the reader thinks it’s too long and just reads the first two pages, she/he will get the most important information.

I think that you will find that as you move through the process, you will better be able to prioritize what you have done. Things that seem very important now may not seem as important next December. You may also find that you want to emphasize different things for different colleges. Computers are the greatest invention.

^^^ sound advice by MDMOM. Also consider clear lableing of the
info categories. e.g. Math & Science activities / Visual & Performing art activities /
etc.

where did you find these activity sheets?

What’s the difference between an activity sheet and a resume? :/
