ACT's and grades that Wake Forest is giving merit money to

I know, I know....i can read the 25th to 75th percentile acceptance numbers. What we're curious about is what kind of ACT's/grades are getting merit money?

My impression is that there is not an abundance of merit aid at Wake.

And some of it requires financial need as well.

Also keep in mind that many schools that do award merit aid will simply reduce need-based aid by a like amount, on the theory that the merit award reduces the student’s calculated need.

Wake Forest does not meet 100% of financial need; according to U.S. News, only 64% of Wake undergrads had their financial need fully met. I don’t know exactly how Wake Forest does this, but for many schools that don’t meet 100% of financial need, “merit” aid is simply a way of rationing the limited amount of FA money that’s available.
