adaware removed all my registry keys!

is this gonna be a problem? or is it ok? everything seems to be running fine...

ALL of your registry keys? yeah, if they're all gone your computer won't start again

nah, it still starts... i just don't know if i need them or not... they took out all the program registry keys like the ones for microsoft word and such...

o_O...I say, get a Mac.

i say... no thank you haha

It didn't remove your entire registry. If it did, windows wouldn't boot.

oh well program keys...

did you go to run regedit? because adaware does delete SOME registry keys, but I have never heard of a situation in which it deleted them all

i did run regedit, that's how i found out my program keys were gone

:] If you want to find out if it is bad, just go to www.microsoft.com. ^_^

Sigh.

No, adaware did not remove all of your registry keys. Windows will not boot without registry keys.
No, adaware did not remove all of your 'program keys' (whatever they are). Internet Explorer will not run without registry keys, and it is a program.

Adaware removes spyware, so it is possible that it removed some spyware which had infected critical registry keys.
It is HIGHLY unlikely that this is the case, but ** there is a very simple fix either way. If any program acts odd and won't start because it is missing registry keys, re-install it. Viola, problem solved. **

Please, next time you post about computer problems, don't be vague and leave the technical jargon to the nerds. I don't mean to offend you. If you want to be helped by the computer nerds, you must accept that you know nothing and explain to them observable and reproducible phenomena that affects your computer.

lol... nah, actually everything runs fine, just it bothers me when i delete stuff that i'm not supposed to... and fyi... i am a fellow computer nerd, i'm just bad at software, i can build computers and setup lan networks like a pro tho... haha
