Okay, so when I was doing my FWS ballot, I thought that TR just meant Thursday, and not Tuesday and Thursday. So, I've ended up with a seminar that conflicts with my schedule. Add/drop begins on the 23rd, and the overlapping classes are on the 24th.

I don't know how add/drop works, but if I try to move things around to fix my schedule on the 23rd, assuming that the classes are open and what not, will it take effect immediately? That is, will things be fixed by the next day, or will I have to just attend Chem and skip my FWS on Wednesday?

Help!

I’m not sure if the changes go into effect immediately on the Cornell system, but it actually doesn’t matter. If you change your classes on Student Center ASAP and attend the classes for your new schedule, you should be just fine. You generally don’t have to alert teachers of large lectures (unless a problem comes up), just smaller ones like your FWSes, discussions, and labs. Rescheduling is pretty hectic during the first couple weeks, so everybody is very understanding and accomodating.

However, you may have to manually check your booklist, since the online one may reflect your old schedule!
