Adding Extra Activities/Working Experience

After sending out my college applications I started working at a Tech Startup (currently creating an application.) I feel that the best way of informing colleges of this is to write a letter. Can somebody help me out with writing the letter? I know that it should have what I do at the company but what else should go into it? More so what are the colleges looking for in an activity that would help me write about in the letter. Any information on this letter would be great. Are there any other suggestions?

Thanks for Reading!

I would be careful sending in any updates, especially at this point. What have you DONE (not doing) at this tech startup? If you’ve just gotten a job and started building an application, that is NOT noteworthy enough to send a letter to your schools.

In other words, unless there is substantial achievement, I would not do anything.

You can send an email to the main admissions email and ask them to consider this additional EC information. Keep it brief, a few sentences. It won’t hurt your app, might help.

I have become a shareholder and have done a lot since joining the team. For example because I have experience working with lawyers ( @ Law firms) I have researched and created legal documents for professional review.

Shareholder isn’t an accomplishment. Sounds like you are working on an app and supported developing some documents for legal purposes.

Sounds good, I will do that along with sending through mail

Don’t mail and email. If you mail it, somebody has to scan it. Just email, they will get it to the right people.

@intparent I have done work for other divisions of the company. I don’t think it’ll hurt my application so I will consider sending them the description etc.

@intparent I will just email it, just wanted that piece of mind that it got to them.
