Hey everyone, just had a quick Q that I was hoping someone could answer. So, I am applying to various highly selective schools. I submitted my Rice app by Dec 1 to be considered for the Rice/Baylor Medical Scholars Program, so my common Ap has been submitted. However, I recently found out that I won a contest for an organization I am involved with that entails me writing for local newspapers and the organization's website. Should I e-mail all of the colleges I am applying to in a couple months with a sample article or an article from the website or should I try to change now. Although not sure if you can once you submit common ap initially?

Bump . Please I would greatly appreciate an answer

I would think it would be a good idea to email/call the admissions office (at whatever schools you’ve already applied to) with the information, just as an update to your application. And you should update your Common App with the info, if you’re still applying to schools that is. Later I’m sure you could send in samples or whatnot, again just as an update.

Don’t know how helpful that is… Maybe someone else has a better idea?

I updated my resume afterwards.
Write it really formally, mail-in is best.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate it. I think I will mail it in mid-january because I thought that you could not change the App once submitted, thanks for the input.
