Additional Comments section?

What are some example of stuff that should go in here? I feel like I should put some stuff here at least, I don’t want to leave it blank. What kind of stuff are you guys putting?

It’s actually recommended that you leave it blank unless you definitely feel as if something needs to be said. Admissions officers won’t want to read a bunch of information if they don’t need to. I would only include something if you need to add more information to explain a part of your application that may seem “out of line” compared to other parts of your application (such as a really low grade or excruciating circumstance that affected your high school years/performance).

So many of these posts. DON’T write another essay about why you chose your major, DON’T write about things already in your application. Admission officers don’t want to read any more than they have to. Things you can right about: Your father’s death is the cause of a dip in grades, your parents lost their jobs and you had to work which is why you didn’t do so well junior year, etc etc.

@LionKing2398 @anxiousenior1 could I talk about some activities I did on the side that’s not on my transcript or application? And the UC site http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/how-to-apply/personal-statement/ said to add clarification for certain activities so on my additional comments section so far I wrote some small objective paragraphs (not essay formed) about me learning photoshop on the side and creating a bunch of graphics and flyers for numerous clubs and fundraisers and also on how I grew an interest in piano after taking the class but pursued it and practiced more on the side because my schedule didn’t allow it. Also I gave some information on some of the fundraisers I set up for charities for my key club group because the little box didn’t allow much information for me to explain in the activities section and I did so much more in this club than the box allowed.

I’d avoid putting too much of that stuff there. Less is more sometimes, you want to be focused, judicious.
