Additional Information After Submitting App

I was wondering if it is possible to provide Brown with additional information about yourself (activities, awards, etc) after having submitted your application. I submitted the application about a month and a half ago, but have recently conceived of additional details I believe could make my application stronger. Is it possible to contact the admissions office in any way and provide this information, or is the application pretty much set in stone? Thanks.

According to my alumni interviewer, this is a very, very good idea.

I passed a certification exam three weeks after I submitted my application. I just sent the admissions office an email with the new information, and they updated my file.

If it would strengthen your application, send it.

Jack…How do you know if they “updated your file”? My son sent them some additional information (a science abstract) about a week after submitting his application and it never showed up on his status.

Usually if you email them something, they will reply (confirm they received it).

What if you mailed it?

I just checked his application status and it didn’t say anything there. And he never got confirmation that they received his abstract. I’m now assuming they never got it. :(

@lima, I emailed it so they just replied back telling me they did.

If you call them they can probably tell you whether they received it. Don’t worry about it not showing up on the application status page. The system probably doesn’t support extra information like that.
