Just got this email today... I'm wondering if its a sign that I was accepted or not as I don't think they would ask me for more financial aid documents unless they were making a financial aid package for me, especially this late in the game. Any ideas? Thanks.

I JUST spoke to the USC financial aid office (literally 2 minutes ago) regarding the status of one of my financial aid documents, and the woman I spoke with told me that admissions and financial aid are seperate; financial aid packages are assembled for everyone, then mailed to those who are admitted.

This is kind of a bummer, and I know my parents really are not happy with having to send so much personal information to a school to which I haven’t even been admitted, but I suppose there’s still hope.

Best of luck!

Oh no kidding. That sounds like a lot of unnecessary work for the financial aid office, haha.

Good luck to you too!

My son got a request for tax forms on February 27th…

Well I just got the email today.

It appears from another thread that Prodigy has been accepted…maybe there is something to the late FA requests = admission?

Yeah I was thinking about this after I was told of my acceptance. Same deal happened with Occidental College where I was also accepted.

did the email have this part included?
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS, PLEASE NOTE: This notice is not an indicator of an admission decision. Financial aid information is gathered and reviewed for all financial aid applicants, regardless of admission status.

@jfuentes: My email DID NOt include that, just indicated that I had been “selected” to submit additional information.

Oh okay. Mine said that, but that was before the deadline. (February 7th)

I got the same message 1 week ago, without the:

“PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS, PLEASE NOTE: This notice is not an indicator of an admission decision. Financial aid information is gathered and reviewed for all financial aid applicants, regardless of admission status”

part. So what’s the verdict- does it mean I’m accepted?

Just wanted to update this for next years applicants, if anyone’s interested. I receieved a request for A LOT of additional info, and was accepted today! Maybe there’s something to it! :)

I really want to say “Don’t flatter yourself,” because every applicant should have submitted that document, but who knows?

I also wanted to update this for next year’s applicants - My daughter got a very late request for additional financial aid information (the week before decisions went out) and was accepted today at the Annenberg School of Communications. So a very late request for additional financial aid documents, may be an indication of acceptance.

I didn’t get a mid-year report request form nor did I get any additional financial aid requests…but I got in
