Just noticed additional info needed for financial aid application - is it too late to provide?

My son was checking youSC portal today and happen to select the financial aid status link where he noticed there was a notification that ‘additional documents’ from our 2014 tax return was needed. We never received an email requesting this information. I do not know when this was posted, but since decisions are being released this week, does that mean we will not be receiving any financial aid should he be admitted?

Rather than call us (since we don’t know your circumstances) - just call them and ask. And the sooner the better.

I do plan to call tomorrow, given their offices are closed today. Thank you for your response.

For those who might be interested should you find yourself in a similar situation, I spoke with USC Financial Aid office today and was told two things. First, admissions and financial aid decisions are two separate and distinct processes. I was assured my sons admissions decision this week would not be impacted by the financial aid’s office request for additional financial info. Second, the impression I got was financial aid info would be released mid-April. Good luck everyone this week!

Thank you @halswag15‌ for the reply on the other thread, I just wanted to ask my question here since it’s more appropriate. I was told a month ago that my citizenship documents were not complete but I took action immediately. However, now, it still gives me the same message. Does this mean I was rejected and they aren’t reviewing my financial aid anymore since they haven’t updated my financial aid portal?

@tabletop12 I would not draw that conclusion but would contact the fiancial aid office and ask them directly.

Thanks! @halswag15‌
