Can you get reconsidered for more merit money even after attending fall semester?
Typically, the answer is no. Do not make a decision to attend a school based on the possibility of a scholarship in later semesters.
no, my daughter is already attending we were wondering if anyone ever asked for more after the start of another semester.
No, their money is limited and is already “budgeted” for continuing students. They already have your daughter in school, so they are not going to give her additional money when they have to consider their restricted budget for incoming freshman.
You can ask, but given this Covid year, which has been brutal financially, it’s probably not going to happen.
Not likely that a second semester student will be given additional merit money.
Your daughter should inquire with her major department about departmental awards for next school year. Some schools have these but they usually are not large amounts. She should find out if her department has any awards, and if so, how to apply for them.
