Admission 2015

No letter yet but I’m in! In state, 3.82 GPA, 26 ACT, lots of ECs. I’ll be at UW in the fall!! <:-P

Accepted! No official letter yet, though.

just checked online and I got in! I’m in NorCal, no official letter yet.

how do i see if I got financial aid??

I’m out of states right now and can’t get mails.

Is there a way to find out if I got in online?

In NorCal and got my gold envelope today!

Congrats to all of you who got in! Still waiting… only 2 people in my shook got a reply back… :)>-

…in my school…

Nothing here yet, and we’re only 60 miles from Seattle.

On Friday I spoke with an admission counselor from UW. They mail their letters (acceptance / rejection) in batches starting 3/15 through 3/31. Kind of a dumb system if you ask me, but that’s how it works. He assured me not all acceptance letters were mailed.

I’m pretty sure this is all a method they are using to reduce the number of freshmen who actually register. They figure that those who are less stable will go STARK RAVING NUTS waiting for letters. Like a cruel “survival of the fittest” game.

I got my letter a few days ago! With a $6,000 scholarship offer. No way I’m going in the fall. Congrats to everyone else who got in!

Still nothing here. :frowning:

@LadyArwyn - Are you still unable to log into the portal? I think MyUW should have decisions up on its site by now, so if you’re able to get in I’d definitely check there.

Here’s the link for resetting UW NetID passwords: https://uwnetid.washington.edu/renew/. Hope you hear back soon!

My daughter has been unable to get her NetID because they never sent her the codes she needs to enter to activate the account. Without it she can’t see anything. Plus they’re still sending out decisions. Nothing will be put online until the last decisions are mailed out on March 31.

I would ask her to check her email inbox. There’s an email that should have been sent around late January with the subject “Set Up Your UW Account”. The only information she needs to set up her account are the username and password that she used to send in her application in the first place.

I don’t believe activation codes are a required component of the process–in any case, they weren’t when I applied a year ago.

Good luck!

She’s in (to the system), and SHE’S IN! WOOHOO!

Still no envelope, but we got the “Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to the University of Washington” page when she signed in.

Hooray!

Today my daughter got the admissions packet, which is apparently supposed to arrive a few weeks after the initial letter. She never got the gold envelope. I’m guessing it got lost in the mail somewhere.

@LadyArwyn‌ I think they are having a lot of mailing issues this year. A lot of my friends who were in the second batch of admission letters got two of the "big envelope"s. Also some people have gotten their admission packets while others haven’t - unfortunately I’m still waiting on my packet - Congrats to your daughter though! (:
