Admission Cancellation Appeal Please Help

I was admitted to UCSC, for the fall quarter. Recently when I logged into my portal I saw that my admissions had been cancelled. When i called the admissions office they told me it was because I didn't report my AP scores :-S ....

I honestly didn't think the university needed my AP scores from 2010, I never transferred my AP scores to my junior college. Nor have I ever used my AP scores for college units, or any way in my college career. So I am confused as to why it is so necessary they need them. I may as well have not even taken the tests.

Regardless, my admissions is cancelled. Do you guys think that it will be difficult to appeal the cancellation?

ALSO do you guys think I should honestly own up to my mistake, or if I should make an excuse of a sob story up.
SOMEONE HONESTLY REASSURE ME :'(

I would call admissions back and explain that you never used them at your past college, so you erroneously assumed you didn’t need to send them. Own up to your mistake and apologize, but ask if you submit your AP scores ASAP, if you would have your admission reinstated. Its worth a try.
