Admission chances to UConn for out of state students?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this but here i go..
Hi I am wondering about the chances for an out of state student applying to UConn. My college counselor told me that it's going to be a reach for me since I'm out of state.

~I'll post my stats in case if anyone wants to know-I hope this will help you guys answer my question~

Plan to major in pharmacy. I'm not quite sure but something in the science area. My family thinks I'll be some faliure and they have more hope for my bro to succeed in life ($$). My bro is going to attend Umass Amherst this fall.

About Me
1. Female Asian, Chinese to be exact. Low income family goes to an underfunded urban public school.
2. My SAT's isnt great ( 1490 -cries- I have to work to get that up) Im studying the blue book.
3. My grades are pretty good 4 point something gpa. I think that's because I go to a not very competitive public IMO school in Boston (But you have to take a test to get in to that school). I took no honors in freshman yr since it's not offered. Took 3 honors classes in soph yr. Took 1 honors and 1 AP (Chem) in junior yr. Planning to take 2 APs next year (Stats and physics B).
4. I guess I have ok extracurriculars not spectacular.
-Clubs: 1 yr JV Volleyball (didn't like the community of the team), 4 yrs Asian Culture Club, 2 yrs Enviormental Club, 2 yrs Key Club going to be an officer this yr
-Comm. Serv: Peer leader for kids at a summer school for 2 yrs., Boston Marathon Mile Marker (Planning on doing it again next year. A very FUUUUUUN to the N experience getting soaked in that cold rain lol), Walk for Hunger, and Walk For Aids.
-Job Experience: Working at Brigham and Women's this summer in Sleep Medicine
5. Other colleges Im considering including UConn~ Umass Boston, Umass Amherst, MCPHS, Tufts, Northeastern, WPI, Bates, and Trinity

Thanks for the help. I hope my post didnt bore you lol

1490/1600 is great but a 1490/2400 is not good. I can't tell which one so I can't chance you but if it is the former (1490/1600) then you should get in everywhere you're applying.

Obviously it's 1490/2400...

It's a reach. Pharm is also one of the most popular programs at UConn.

You sound like you've got a good GPA and decent ECs.

The only thing that'll prevent you from being admitted (especially to pharm as an OOSer) is your SAT. You have to raise that, probably to at least a 1900 or 2000. Which I think is doable, but will take a ton of work on your part.

i jus got into UCONN but had a 1910/2400 pick up the SAT scores because pharmacy is one of the toughest programs there-ranked very good
