Admission Chances?

Hello everybody,

I am currently at community college and was wondering if anybody knows how common it is to get denied admissions to a transfer school. The school I plan on transferring to is San Jose State here in California. When looking at the transfer reqs for mechanical/aerospace engineering, it just says students were commonly admitted above a 3.0 and when they had completed ALL pre reqs. If I complete all pre reqs and have a GPA above a 3.0, how common is it to get denied anyway? Is it even okay to plan on attending one specific school or would I just have to hope for the best?

It’s not that common to get denied to state schools unless they are very competitive and/or you are out-of-state.

SJSU is very competitive have you looked at eligibility indexes for their different majors? You should apply to more than one school. You should find more than 1 school that you like and apply to at least 5 for transfer IMO
