Admission HELP!

I want to go to Macalester incredibly bad, but unfortunately have no idea of my stats line up, or if its a crapshoot.
for one, my gpa is a 3.9, weighted
top decile
sats were 700-math and 660-verbal
all IB classes for the past four years, calc and all the uppers
French IV and Spanish V, plus im bilingual
NHS
other less important clubs like French Club, Key Club, etc
probably around 150-160 service hours in the past two years
volunteer at the Democratic Party for my county (in tx nonetheless)
big in the Plano chapter of Habitat for Humanity

vegetarian:)

essentially everything socially/politically lines up with Mac, but i don't know if my hard application, aka numbers and scores, will add up. I was hoping the Habitat, languages, etc would help with Mac's reputation.

my undergraduate would be pre-law/"legal studies", possibly with a double in philosophy.

anyone have an opinion? i would be really thankful.

oh and i'm applying early decision II.

anyone?.............

Hi oibriena99. I live just a few miles from Macalester, and several kids from my son's school go there. I think your qualifications are superb. And you will provide geographical diversity. When my son and I toured Macalester a year ago, our guide was a cool guy from Texas. I am certain (assuming you're not a convicted felon!) that you'll get in to Macalester! Let me know when you find out: narayan@visi.com

I also think Mac might like the fact that you're veggie or that you're proficient in both French and Spanish (and English, at the risk of stating the obvious). I don't actually have any idea, it just seemed like these were indicators of you fitting well into their community.

You sound like a match for Mac, and to be honest, thats what the school is looking for much more than a good applicant on paper. Did you interview?
