Admission Help

I'm too scared to go to my counselor for more help. I've been to her office about once a week since school started about college admission. I think I annoyed her too much already, so I'm looking for help here.

I'm a senior in a high school in the middle of United States who really wants to go back to NYC for college. My goal is to get into NYU or UPENN. As for backup schools, I need help with that. My chances aren't really good. My SAT score is 1200 (taken last March, but I'm going for 1300 on my next one), a 26 on my ACT (my highest and lowest, but I'm aiming for 28), only taken 2 AP classes (BTW, do the AP test scores show on your transcript because I did not do well on them), and not a lot of community service hours (I have about 100 so far). On the other hand, I'm in the top 10% (5 spots away from top 5%, which I'm aiming for this semester), a few Science awards (Science Olympiad, JETS) a lot of clubs since freshmen year, and played JV Soccer for fresh and Soph. I know my chances aren't good, but I'm still hoping.

I'm going to be an early graduate in my school. I plan to move to NYC in Jan when I graduate and go to a community college in NYC for my 8th semester of high school (mandatory, according to my counselor). I will be on my own after I leave because my parents would disown me. They're the reason I'm graduating early and leaving this place. No, I'm not a rebel or anything, but they're psychos. If I stay here any longer, I'm going to go mental. Aside from that, I don't know if I should apply for early decision because I'm gonig to be an early graduate. And I don't know which community college in NYC I should go to. And since I'll be disowned by my parents, I won't be able to get financial aide.

Oh, can someone help edit my essay for NYU, and give me advice on UPENN's admission essay?

PLEASE give me any advice! I need all the help I can get.

ok, this might sound really twisted but could you possibly use your parents as a struggle you had to deal with throughout high school? I don't know what your situation is with them, but if its something unique and a serious issue then you might want to consider it. Also, aim for a 29-30 on the ACT and that with your class rank should give you a good shot at NYU. With a 26, you'll more than likely be rejected.
