Admission into Chemical Engineering?

I got an email that started with this:

Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that the admissions committee at the University of
Wisconsin–Madison selected you to receive admission to the Department of Chemical Engineering in
the College of Engineering.

I got this a week after my acceptance letter. Does this mean I do not need to complete the general engineering requirements?

Of course not. It just means you will be able to get your engineering major. You still need all of the required math and science (top Chemistry at UW, btw) plus breadth requirements in other areas. When you graduate from UW you will have the same degree (BA or BS depending on school/college/choices of courses) as everyone else, you will not be limited by your major. You can also change your major at any time- even a non engineering one- as you were admitted to the university as a whole.

when you get your results, you will know which classes you will fulfill with your A levels if yours are applicable per testing board.
