Anyone know of anyone that has had their admissions rejected due to poor grades and whatnot?

HaHa, poor grades. u dumb ****. hows the buttons by the way?

YES! Everyone at my school always says that UW is nothing more than a safety school, and that, for the most part, I would say it is too to a certain extent, but I knew 2 kids who got rejected even though they were full IB diploma students. It's not extremely difficult to get into, but I wouldn't call it a cakewalk either.
PS I don't really know their stats, but I would say that they had GPAs less than 3.0 or even 2.5

UW is by no means a safety school. Anyone saying that is uninformed. It may be a safety for certain exceedingly high performing students, but for your basic less-than-3.5 student, getting in is tricky.

As for the OPs question, I haven't directly heard of students in my aquaintance having their admission offer rescinded due to to a lousy senior year, but it does happen. Pull up your socks and do the work so it doesn't happen to you. Getting that letter of acceptance is not a ticket to slack off. Dropping a grade won't kill you, but failing a class could.
