Admission requirements

My situation is a bit different when it comes to admission requierments.
I'm not from the US so I considered to be an international student.

I didn't have much of luck when I was a kid. On the age of 13 I was homless for two years I started to work and to attend a high school but I didn't really learn at school due to my financial situation.

Now I'm 23 and the dream to attend a Film school never ends. But the requirement are tough for me.

SAT is really hard for me since I've never learned. And I still want to learn film which has nothing to do with mathematics, for instance.

I'm an actor and have preformed in three feature films and couple of TV series.

Is there any way of gitting accepted without SAT?

Many thanks,
L'

To USC? No. I don’t want to sound harsh, but being an international student isn’t an excuse not to take the SAT. Most internationals self-study the SAT, as well as the TOEFL, which you would also need to take. Saying that film “has nothing to do with mathematics” doesn’t make too much sense, because you’re also required to take GEs, usually including maths, science etc. Also, you say that finances are a problem for you? Well, USC is one of the most expensive schools, and internationals are ineligible for financial aid. Your only options would be the incredibly competitive merit scholarships, however you would have no chance without the SAT.

There are a couple of universities that don’t require internationals to take the SAT, but accept alternatives eg. A Levels, however there are only few of them and they’re quite competitive. I’d say, go for community colleges. Community colleges are also much cheaper.
