Admission Results

I’m sure it’s possible. If anything, that’s more a margin to allow for unexpected problems within the mail service. I only got mine yesterday due to the fact that I live 30 minutes from UW. Considering you live in Minnesota (?), it’s most likely that you’ll get yours this coming week.

hopefully when i get the envelope it is gold

For those of you that have already received their acceptance letters, do your unofficial transcripts load yet?

^ someone who got accepted already posted that it won’t load.

Suburb of Seattle here. Got a letter in the mail yesterday. Don’t panic when you see the letter, because it’s not a massive packet like most schools. Just a small, orange letter.

Stats:
GPA: 3.97
SAT: 1990
ACT: 29
AP: APLAC 5, APUSH 4, taking AP Calc A/B
Lots of extracurriculars and volunteering, plus relevant work experience probably saved me from my crap SATs

Is it normal for people in the Seattle area, relatively close to UW to not get any mail on the first day? What I’ve noticed from people who’ve gotten accepted so far: veryyy high GPAs, with mediocre-high SAT score. Emphasis on the high gpa. Also, it seems like no one has received a rejection letter(?) If anyone knows of any rejections, let us know! So nervous for next week…seems like they’ll be feeding out rejections for sure. Anyone with prior experience to this process should respond! Thanks!

when you say high gpa, what are you talking about?

kids who got in on the first day that I know have GPAs of 3.6+. What have you heard/noticed?

Me and rsharma were some of the first to be accepted on here and we had a 3.97 and 3.99 respectively. Anything >3.8 is considered really high in my book though.

No one that I know of that has a relatively low gpa <3.5 has gotten accepted.

i get the feeling IS rejections will come out on Wednesday and OOS rejections will come Thursday.

@UDUBHUSKIES why wednesday, and not Monday/Tuesday? (For the rejections to be sent out)

For what it’s worth, S has a 3.97 unweighted GPA, 35 ACT, 800s on both SAT IIs and 5s on all 6 APs he’s taken.

^lol your son was a shoe in…this is UW, not Stanford! Lol

I say Wednesday because that would be Day 4 for IS, and by Friday, I think the letters will have arrived. Same goes for OOS.

Why wouldnt they send rejections on monday or tuesday though? You think those days are strictly acceptances?

@huskyhopeful - Haha! S was Deferred from Stanford EA, but remember that UW brings in over $1B in research money every year – second only to Johns Hopkins – so it’s no slouch school. ;)

Here’s hoping those gold envelopes find you all early next week!

Thank you!!

This wait is killing me!

My unofficial transcript for UW Seattle loaded…can i take it as a positive sign???
