I was checking out MSU's Honors admission website and they mentioned that members usually scored a 30 or higher on their ACT. Does that mean that the minimum to be asked to join is a 30? Do GPA and other things have a factor in the process? I've scored a 29 on my ACT and have a GPA of 3.9 and would like to get into the honors college so is there still a chance or does my ACT limit me?

The minimum is a 30, and you have to be in the top 5% of your class. But they say they accept people who fall just outside the reqs, so you should be fine.

Thank you. I actually recently was invited to their green carpet day which is a special tour they give to invited students about the honors college and got all of my questions answered.

No problem! I went to that program as well last summer, and that’s what really sparked my interest in MSU and their honors college. I’ll be a student there in a short two weeks!
