Hi I am an international student interested in UBC. My overall score in IELTS is 7.0 with no sub score less than 6.0. That can satisfy the minimum english requirement but I was wondering if a higher score in IELTS would increase my chances of getting in. Any thoughts??

IELTS is a “threshold credential”, in as much that higher IELTS score will not help you.

However, what are your other credentials/ECs? And your intended major?

I don’t have a lot of ECs but I have a really high cumulative GPA about 3.8 and my SAT math 2 score is 800 and in physics is also 800 I am also taking the following AP course: AP CS A, AP Physics C, AP Calculus BC based on this what do you think my chances are?

I assume that you must come from a country from which UBC does not ask for SAT1 or ACT scores… but I suppose science or engineering is highly likely given the SAT subject tests you took.

UBC science: Low match
UBC engineering: Low match/Match

Yes I am intending to study computer science in UBC so what do you think my chances to be admitted to it(can you give me a percentage)? also any advice to increase my chances?
