Admissions decision date

are the decisions coming out on midnight of the 25th (technically the 26th) or just like the evening of the 26th?

Thanks!

My daughter audition in February for violin. Her letter was dated March 4 from the college of fine arts-music dept. it came with financial aid info and said that acceptance/rejection to the university will be sent by the end of march. who knows??? i hope the music dept have enough pull to help make the difference. Good luck to all of you kids. It is a stressful time. When I went to college I applied to one school - Oxford University and got in - no stress back then. Also, it was a different country with a different educational system.

pdoshi, CMU mails its decisions. Decisions won't be online until three to four days afterwards.

Will all decisions be online on March 28th, or is it four days after they mail your letter?

three days after they mail your letter your letter- from what they told me.

^^so.. we should be checking on the 27th...

yeah i got this form from them in my where am i in the process package-
They wanted us to put in our credit card number and expiration date so that they could bill the DHL package on that credit card- otherwise they send it by economy which "may take upto three weeks". And you'll be able to check your decision on the where am i in the process after 3 days of their mailing the decisions.

That was quite crazy according to me- asking us to put down the credit card no. and stuff and send it to them.

Is this possible great news that you were accepted? Can they e-mail you the important news (acceptance, housing form info.) and send the package regular mail? If there is something urgent in there, then perhaps pay the postage. How much could it possibly cost? Maybe over night mail of a package (not just an envelope) is very expensive to India (times the many international students) is the reason they want you to pay the cost. I have no idea how much money this involves.

^ its actually not about the cost- more of writing down your credit card number and sending it to god knows whom in the university. Maybe i am just paranoid.
Pardon me- but i couldn't make much sense of the rest of your post.

I just called the admissions office, and they told me that letters will be going out all week this week, beginning today. And that you can check on line starting the 28th.

wow! thanks Boston2008....

"This year, our Admit letters are set to mail on March 24, so our goal is to
begin calling Admitted Students the first week of April to ensure that all
students receive their letter of acceptance before they receive our phone
call."

Ahhhhhhhh.

someone from my school got accepted.

RD? Mail? Today?
