<p>@SoCal applicants… I think all colleges terribly underestimate the madness that is USPS. Roughly judging from what I remember of the postmark dates as compared to the times I received promotional material from CMU, there was a lot more than the “three days” the post office predicts in between each one. generally it took at least four or five days (of course, it was winter–Iowa took weeks).
in brief, we’ll probably get the decision online before anything else.
but disregard my pessimism if you like.</p>

<p>Someone in another thread said they sent emails to those who got admitted last year at midnight on the 26th. </p>
<p>Whether that means tonight or tomorrow night, I don’t know.</p>
<p>I’m impatient. I have not recieved one college letter than made me jump for joy yet. I’m praying this will be my first. I’m going to check my e-mail at midnight tonight and if nothing is there, I swear I’m going to take that Scottish Terrier Bill Cosby donated to CMU and throw him right through the highest window on CMU’s campus. (Sorry to disturb the animal lovers.)</p>
<p>They did mail them out on the 24th… I just called today regarding my application ID, and they said they mailed out the letters yesterday, the 24th. Strange to see that no one has gotten their letters yet.</p>

<p>My application status online was updated in the middle of the day, not at midnight. I got the mail way later.</p>
<p>I wish I hadn’t logged onto CC for the first time in months…it is seriously driving me insane thinking about the admissions decisions. I was so calm about it before, lol…</p>

<p>EEK - I got panicky about whether I had sent in all the FA stuff…just called - yeah its all in whew…She said decisions mailed yesterday, will be available online later this week, decision will include merit aid, financial aid shortly to follow.</p>
