@PrayforUF, all we know for sure is that the decisions come out on or around March 1. But the article that poster #239 put up seems to state that the letters are going out on Friday of this week. So depending on how fast they put the decisions on the web portals relative to the hard copy mailing and/or how fast your snail mail is (we live overseas so it could take a couple more weeks for my daughter if she has to wait for snail mail alone), it is either the very end of this week or early next week.
When I called the admissions office last week, they said that decisions would begin being released 3/1.
My school had a college planning meeting for Juniors today that I volunteered at. The UConn admissions counselor that I talked to said to expect the decisions to be online by either later in the day tomorrow or on Friday!
Hoping we get decisions by this friday! It only make sense that the NetId updates while the letters are in the mail (Going out friday).
Fingers crossed! Best wishes for everyone these next few days.
The whole 34000 applicants thing really freaked me out , I thought I was deifnetely in but not anymore
I agree @PrayforUF ! The acceptance rate is going to go down alot the next few years i would assume!
Does anyone know if they look at both gpa and sat/act for scholarship or just sat/act
Uconn takes a holistic approach. We visited there twice and they said they look at GPA, rigor of courses (so better if you take mostly Honors/AP courses) class rank, and SAT/ACT. They also look at extra curriculars, common ap essay, recommendations, work experience, volunteering, legacy, level of interest (did you visit or do a Husky for a Day?),
Are you sure? Because looking back on the old thread the scholarships did not seem holistic at all
Yea, from what I’ve seen in past threads the scholarships were given to kids with high gpa and sat/act. Although, they do claim they take a holistic approach.
So I was able to log into my UCONN email address and most of the emails that I have received have been about the Stamford Campus. So I am assuming this means I got into the Stamford Campus. However do they only admit you into a Regional Campus if they deny you from Storrs? Or do I still have a chance of getting into the Main Campus?
@fanpple how do you log onto your uconn email address? & that does not necessarily mean that you were denied from storrs. I’m pretty sure they send all campuses but i’m not sure.
@TomMattson I changed my password with the orange button on this page http://g.uconn.edu then I logged into a regular google account with the firstname.lastname@uconn.edu email address
@TomMattson if you (or anybody else) receive additional emails regarding the Storrs Campus - please tell me. The one I received was titled “[UCONNUNDERGRADUATESTUDENTS-L] Student Daily Digest”
@fanpple i just logged on to my account and I do not have any emails
@TomMattson thanks for telling me. Life is stressful. Hopefully we will find out tomorrow
No emails for me either
I got 4 emails from the Waterbury campus and no other emails. I didn’t actually choose a branch campus when I applied so what could this mean?
Are any of you near 100% sure that you got into the Storrs Campus (as in great GPA/SAT)?
