Admissions Decisions Class of 2020

I got accepted into the scholars program last night, but i really wanted to be in the honors program instead. Can this be switched?

@blaugrana9 Yes, my daughter applied Nov.30 and was accepted Fri., and there are a few people a couple pages back on this thread who received notices earlier than that, but definitely don’t start worrying yet- there are so many factors that can make some go faster than others that may not have to do with the applicant’s qualifications.

I applied EA and got accepted to main campus December 14th. I still haven’t heard back with information pertaining to my admission to the honors program. I have a 34 ACT and a 4.15 W, 3.67 UW GPA. I also haven’t heard anything from scholars so I inferred that my application for the honors program was still being reviewed (I indicated honors as my first choice on the commonapp). Anyone else in a similar situation or have any useful information?

@firsty Thanks. And all my documents reached in January so I guess it’d take them more time I guess.

did any of you find out about your admissions through an email or is it always the application status page?

@n0vadc Both.

@jsmith98 My S is in the same position. Was accepted on 12/18 to College of Engineering. Still waiting on Honors.

@jsmith98 My daughter as well - was accepted late December into Arts & Sciences and is still waiting on Honors/Scholars

Finally merit aid notification arrived in Snail Mail yesterday. Had been checking buckeye email account but no email notification was sent. Got the snail mail instead. As of now the applicant page also does not show the merit award. Posting this note so other applicants (future and 2016) can be aware.

im still waiting too…applied early december and i am a international applicant…Hope I get in…
Already got into NC state and i am in 2 minds about which university is better for me…if i get into OSU it will be a very hard decision…

@dreamed: Which one did u get and what are ur stats…and where do you live…?

Some interesting read.

Accepted to ECE!!!

So i received financial aid papers from enrollment services, but it still says that my application is being evaluated. Could it be that the application status wasn’t updated because it’s Sunday? Confused why I would be getting forms from enrollment otherwise.

Same problem here and received letters around the same time.

Did you get your actual Financial Aid package information? I saw on the portal that they had my EFC on there but no information on what the overall aid package was.

@jakeybake
SSC’s response:
Complete financial aid award notifications (including merit based scholarships) will be ready to view on the Student Center by mid to late March.

I got accepted into the college of engineering. Does anyone know if Ohio State sends acceptance letters by email (pdf) or mail (im an international student) or if they send them at all?

@Nestle99 Domestic applicants receive both an email letter and regular mail letter. Not sure about international students.

@SALSRL When do you get the email (PDF) letter?? (Im not taking about the email notifying you about the acceptance)
